On June 8, 1986, Björk’s first child was born , Sindri Eldon Þórsson, who was born from her relationship with Pór Eldon, Guitarist of The Sugarcubes. Although by then the artist was just starting in the industry, her fame would reach its peak when Sindri was still a child.

During the 1990s, Björk received a lot of attention from the press, who were constantly following her. The London press speculated about her relationships with musicians like Tricky and commented on her outlandish videos.
